The (at)Last Day..... Day 27 of the RV trip, July 28th

Well, you know how I fell asleep to the rain last night, it turns out that my parents didn't. My dad told me that there was a huge thunder storm last night that just kept going on and on. He even said that it made the other thunder storm while we were at Indigo Bluffs look like child's play. The rain was coming off our awning like a water fall, and it even made the awning sag 18 inches with water. My dad even rolled up the awnings, by leaning out the windows, ha ha, and unplugged the power cords from the camp site. He thought that there could of been a flash flood, and was getting ready to evacuate. He just gets paranoid some times, hmmm... I wonder where I get it from. Luckily there wasn't a flash flood, and I can't believe I slept through the WHOLE thing!!! We took off from the camp and headed to Royal Oak, where the shrine is, and get this, we didn't even get lost once! The shrine and church was so amazing! I would love to go there some other time. We left the church at 3:17 and headed home, this time to Pittsburgh. Around 5 we stopped at a rest area in Ohio, what was cool is that they had RV hook up's, and you can stay there all night, for only 20 dollars. My dad rested a little, and we got something to eat, fast food... eww! We hit the road again around 6, we still have 4 hours to go, but for me it doesn't seem long at all. Because this time we are going home for real.
To summarize my vacation:
I first started off thinking that my parents were trying to punish me and ruin my life... well my dad was because he bought the RV. At first everything went wrong, doors shattered, we got lost.... a lot... using a GPS and map quest, I was to shy to go up to other kids and make friends, and it was like sitting in an air plane, with 3 chihuahuas that are terrified, during a tornado, with really bad turbulence.
But after we got to the other camps and I saw that a lot of people actually RV for fun, I was kind of convinced that my parents weren't that crazy. When we got to Indigo Bluffs, I realized that I could handle this. I fell in love with Michigan, especially the Lake Michigan and the Isolated Beach. I love the weather, and it is nothing like the crime and hustle-bustle of the city Detroit. People leave signs saying 3 dollars for a pound of cherries, pick your self, on the side of the road. It's all on your honor, because they trust that you will pay. There's even 5 dollars for fire wood and the fire wood is on the side of the road. Every one was so nice and relaxed. Do you know how good it feels to not have an activity every day, or a doctors appointment? For a straight month!? It feels great and don't tell my dad this but now I'm actually kind of happy that he bought the RV, named iRV. lol... At first I was so against it, I swore that I would never change my mind, and that I would not survive the horrid trip. (I would die of embarrassment.) But know I've realized that people can change, even me, who hates change! Unless it's in clothes, like new designs at Abercrombie that are super cute... that I'm definitely okay with.   Anyways I'm still probably never going to get used to the turbulance and walking into doors, cabinets, etc. But I will learn to... uh... mutually like... this home on wheels. True fully it's much better than a hotel. You don't have to pack and unpack. You sleep in your bed and use your pillow every night and you can have your pets with you, all the time. Oh! Another thing that I like about Michigan is that it is very pet friendly, almost everywhere we went pets were allowed! People really like chihuahuas'. All in all, I actually really enjoyed the trip. Although it is a great way to embarrass your thirteen year old daughter... for about the first 2 weeks, after a month I realized that I was just telling myself that I hated it, when really, I just wanted that voice to shut up and let me enjoy the "bumpy" ride. I'm really going to miss Michigan and Indigo Bluffs, but that will make me love it even more when I go back next year.
Honestly I didn't really miss my friends that much, I had a cell phone with me, and wifi, so I didn't miss much. But dad I'm warning you, If you sell the house and make us live in this.... I know where you sleep... But if you want to buy a boat I'm totally okay with that, or maybe a summer home up in Michigan... we can sell the one in Hidden Valley.
You know what they say. Never judge a book by it's cover, until you've seen what's inside. Or, "Never judge an RV by the movie, until you've experienced the real thing."
See you next summer.

Day 26 of the RV trip, July 27th

Today is a sad and happy day. We are leaving Indigo Bluffs and heading home, well first to The National Shrine of the Little Flower. Or St. Therese. But before I get started on that I would really like to give Indigo Bluffs RV resort a review.
If it were rated out of 5 stars, I would give it 10... or more. The lots are absolutely beautiful and you aren't right up against you neighbor. When you first pull into the resort you see the check in building, clubhouse, and a large heated pool. You drive a little ways down a long road and then the ponds come into view first, with the waterfalls, then all of the wild flowers. The lots are concrete with a stone design in them, they are kind of like a huge drive way, with a couple chairs and a fire pit on each one. The staff was so nice and was just awesome. They even have a really nice air conditioned laundry room.  That is one of the reasons we are going there for a month next year in the summer. So if you ever want an awesome, beautiful, and relaxing vacation, Indigo Bluffs is the choice for you!

Okay so we left pretty early in the morning, around 10:30 ha ha. We said good bye to the staff, one in particular. Janice, she was so nice and I can't wait to see her next year. My mom took the rental car back to the rental car place and then we drove up past Petoskey to get the RV steps fixed. They broke some how and wouldn't go in for most of the trip, so we had to bungee cord them while we were driving. They got fixed, and we took off to another camp to just spend the night at. The camp was actually really nice, nothing like Indigo though. But we decided that it would be a good place to stop the first night of our trip next summer. It started raining around ten, but I found it peaceful so I fell right asleep.
Tomorrow we will be going the shrine and then home. Finally.

Day 25 of the RV trip, July 26th

Yes! I'm finally caught up to date on my blog!
Okay so today I slept in to 10:30 that's not really sleeping in, but oh well. I'm always tired. My dad was cleaning like crazy, vacuuming and organizing. I even think he vacuumed out side! We went to the isolated beach one last time, because we are leaving Indigo Bluffs tomorrow. :'( Then we went to Gallagher's for ice cream, ha ha. We also stopped in Empire because my parents wanted to look in a store. Then we came back home because there was a wine tasting at the club house at 5. Don't worry they served non-alcoholic beverages too. We got to say good bye to the people that we made friends with and to the owner, I feel so weird calling them that, I don't know why, like I feel like I'm coming off as stuck up. I'll call him mr. becker. I'm pretty sure that's spelled wrong. Sorry! My parents wanted to run out again so I sat at the pool while they were gone and read a book. When I came home I made a s'more on the fire one last time.
Well now your all caught up.
Tomorrow we will be on the road again, and you know how hilarious that will be for me..... not.
But all in all, so far our trip has really been pretty good.
Shhh don't tell my dad I said that, he might make us take another RV trip somewhere else.... where people might actually know me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully luck is on our side, night!

Day 24 of the RV trip, July 25th

Today we went to the Grand Traverse City mall, because I wanted to go to Hollister and American Eagle. (all AE jeans are on sale!) They didn't have an abercrombie because it went bankrupt 3 days after Christmas. After the mall we went to Low's for my dad and then we went grocery shopping! Lol.
But I've got to go, Night
Ali

Day 23 of the RV trip, July 24th

Okay so I think we went back into Empire today for the art festival, idk. It was a pretty cool festival, and my dad got a really awesome fossil. He also bought my mom 2 heart shaped petoskey pendants. Then he bought this picture, thats made of fabric and is quilted, it's really cool. The only bad thing is that it was so hot, the kind of hot that is just so humid, but with a breeze. I'm sure your thinking "well if there was a breeze then why were you so hot?" Because it was a hot breeze, by the time we got out of there... just never mind. After the art festival we went out to eat at a restraunt. It was really good. When we got back to the RV, my mom told me to go online to abercrombie kids and Hollisterco.com. We were able to order a bunch of clothes from there, since obviously the sale was going on online too. After that I worked on my blog, trying to update everything. As you can see I didn't finish, since it is the 26th and I'm on the 24th.

Day 22 of the RV trip, July 23rd

So today I mostly drew, but my picture was really horrible so I'm never going to show it to anyone. Katie just told me that there is a 50% off sale on red lines at abercrombie and hollister! Grr I need to find a mall! We went back to the isolated beach today, then after we stopped at Gallagher's for ice cream. Yum! I'm so tired, so I'm going to go to bed! Night

Day 21 of the RV trip, July 22nd

Today is Katie's birthday party! Hope it goes well!
Today was another lazy day, I went up to the pool for a while reading books, while my parents went out grocery shopping. It seemed a little weird when there was only an adult in the pool, but then I realized that it was adult swim... after 2 (obnoxious) boys kept asking their dad when they could go in the pool. It wasn't until 2 p.m. that adult swim was over. Then all of the peace and quiet was broken. Evan's family was going back home today, and I really needed another petoskey polishing class. Oh well I'll have to wait until next year. Oh I forgot to mention that we already booked another month June 14th to July 14 on the same lot we are on now, for next summer! That's how much we like it here! But I've got to go!
Tomorrow's another day,
Ali

Day 20 of the RV trip, July 21

Today we had a lazy day, I went outside and read a couple books. I got a lot of sun too. When I finished all of my books I went down to the pond and caught some tad poles. Don't worry I made a little enclosure in the pond out of small rocks, but they are smarter than they look, they figured out how to get out. My dad found this really tiny frog like  t h i s__  big on one of our hoses. It was so cute!
To be honest I really can't remember what we did for most of the days, I keep looking at my texts to friends for clues about what we did... I'm pathetic.

Here's some stuff that I remember, but I can't remember exactly what day, but I know that they happened in the next few days, or later on in the week.
Evan, 10 years old, one of the owners' sons, does petoskey polishing classes. He asked me to take one, so I bought a kit for 3 dollars and got a petoskey stone from the RV. It was pretty fun and messy. After that we got on our bikes and went down to the pond to look for more. But really he was trying to, unsuccessfully, catch frogs.
Thats really all, ha ha.

Day 19 of the RV trip, July 20th

Happy 13th birthday Katie W.! (my best friend) I'm sorry I can't make it to your party on the 22nd, I'm sure you'll understand... don't worry you'll still get a gift.
Okay guess what we did today????!!!! We went to the isolated beach again. We just really like it there, ha ha. I found a ton of sea glass and some really pretty stones. Same with my parents. Some days there is a ton of algae in the water, and it's like super gross. When it's high tide it gets all over the beach and you don't really want to go into the water, because it's so gross. I forgot to mention in my previous posts, there are always a couple pair of swans in the water on the beach. It's really pretty because when the suns setting and they are in the water. We got some really good pictures of them. Ha ha, I say that about everything.
Night

Day 18 of the RV trip, July 19th

I'll try not to bore you with the details. We went to the beach again today. Thats really all. Not much to it. I'm starting to get a little homesick but not much. Our trips going to end soon, but for now I'm just enjoying whats left.

Day 17 of the RV trip, July 18th

12:17 a.m. There's a severe thunder storm going on. The sky literally lights up every second, its like someone taking a picture, with flash on, in the middle of a power outage... at midnight. Although I can't really hear any thunder. It's pretty scary so my dad stayed up with me for a while just watching the storm. He said that this is normal, (all the lightning) because we are on a lake and the ground is so flat, so it lights the sky up more. Unlike Pittsburgh where it's not very flat. But I don't live in the city, so I wouldn't know. The storm went on until 3 a.m. then it moved on. It really cooled down, because as many of you know, if you have access to a tv or computer, we are in a heat wave. Along with like 17 other states, but still. We took the dogs to the isolated beach again today, the waves were kinda rough, but it was still pretty. Then we just came home and relaxed.... shocker.

Day 16 of the RV trip, July 17

Today we went to church, obviously cause it's sunday. Then we drove into Traverse City to find a target and a low's. We ended up eating lunch at out back and we had to ask directions a couple times to find a target. Ha Ha. I looked at some school supplies and I got a zebra print back pack and a purple calculator!
But seriously I'm tired, it's 11:41 p.m. and I've been updating my blog since like 8 p.m.
Night!
Ali
P.S. I'll post more tomorrow, If I remember!

Day 15 of the RV trip, July 16

Okay so today we went to the isolated beach again, we found some sea glass and fossils, same old same old. Ha Ha.
So tonight we are going to the Empire beach with the owners family and a bunch of other people from the camp. To watch the sunset. I ended up hanging out with Evan, he's ten, and his dad owns the place. We made a huge sand castle and like it had a moat that kept filling with water. We even put huge rocks in it so if someone tried to knock it down they would at least break a couple toes. Well can you guess what happened next. Ya his other 3 brothers, one's 7, 14 and the other one is a freshman or something, they took off the rocks and then they knocked it down. They made evan cry! But it's okay because I know that they were just jealous about how awesome we are at making sand castles. I don't hold grudges, actually I don't even know what a grudge is. Oh well, I'll look it up later.
I've got to go to bed!

Day 14 of the RV trip, July 15

okay so this is a "shed" There is a refridgerator, table and chairs, ice maker, sink, and it opens up so it's like a bar. It's kind of like the play house I never had.
this is the path way that leads down to a electric fire pit and out door table and chairs. The pond is right in front of it.
This is another view of the pond from the back of the rv
Okay so this is like kinda the patio, I know that It's not a very good picture. I'll try to take more later. The thing thats covered is a grill.
Yay! I'm happy! We extended our stay at Indigo Bluffs for another week and guess what! We get to stay at the really pretty lot on the pond! Here are some pictures! (UP ABOVE)
We just relaxed all day and rode our bikes around. well my dad and I did!
Well i've got to go!

DAY 13 OF THE RV TRIP CONTINUED I MADE A MISTAKE

Ok so I forgot something. That night Thursday July 14th. We went to a bon fire at the pond at indigo bluffs! It was really nice and we got to meet a ton of people who work there and people who are staying there. There's even a lot for someones RV right on the pond. It's so amazing. It turns out that a lot of people really like small nice chihuahuas. lol who would've known

Day 13 of the RV trip, july 14

Okay so today we went to the isolated beach again, then we went horse back riding. My dad made reservations for a private 2 hour long ride for 3:30. It was so much fun, I've always loved riding horses. My horse's name was Captain. Whats really cool is that the stables do a coast to coast ride, from one side of Michigan to the other. It's a 14 day ride! My butt would be very sore after that! When the trail ride ended we got a couple pictures with the horses. How Touristy! I don't know why but I hate seeming like a tourist, even though I am. Hmm, is that weird... don't answer. Anyways my day was pretty good.

Day 12 of the RV trip, july 13

You know I seriously don't remember what we did today. Probably because it's the 25 and I'm trying to think back to the 13th. How many days is that... I need a calculator.
I think we went to an isolated beach today. Ya we did. Our doctor told us about it. It is so pretty and we found a ton of really cool rocks and fossils. We also brought the dogs with us. It's hilarious to see these tiny dogs trying to get a drink of water, but not knowing that you actually have to be like in the water, you can't just lick the sand. I also discovered that I have an eye for sea glass. After that I think that we went out to get some ice cream and then we went home and watched another DVD.
Oh well thats all I can remember!

Day 11 of the RV trip, tuesday the 12

Do you know how nice it is to wake up, the sun is shining, wait no, the sun isn't shining because I couldn't sleep. So I read for most of the night actually I read Shakespeare's Romeo and Juilet. I love that story! Today we went on a scenic drive, really it was drive a couple 100 feet, stop, get out of the car, take a picture, and then get back in the car. This happened about 20 times. Do you feel my pain! Since we are going to be at Indigo Bluffs we were able to rent a car. That's how we were driving around today. We took a mile and a half long hike on the dunes. Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was really pretty and cool. A lot of people expect Michigan to be a lot like Detroit, and the city. But it's not, it is so pretty and not busy at all. There are cherry farms, wineries, vine yards, small family grocery stores, and there isn't a McDonalds in sight!  We went back to the RV resort and my parents took a nap. BORING! Then we watched "While You Were Sleeping" with Sandra Bullock. It was so funny.
Well I've got to go to bed!
Ali

Day 10 of the RV trip. Monday the 11

So we got to Indigo Bluffs, RV Resort, in Empire, Michigan. I have to say it is pretty amazing. The lots are huge, they are like a concrete drive way, there are wild flowers everywhere, the landscaping is so beautiful, and there are no misquotes. They have a huge heated pool too. We mostly just relaxed all day. well I've got to go.

Day 8 of the RV trip. Saturday the 9th.

So what did I do today. Hmmm...
I woke up at 11:30, got on my swim suit, put the leashes on the dogs, remembered that I had to eat breakfast, took the dogs out, and then ate breakfast, well lunch. I decided that I wanted to go to the beach, just to keep my parents out of my hair. I took bella with me and as I'm walking down the dirt road that leads to it this kid like literally almost runs me over with his bike. He pretty much hung out with me the whole day. Now I know that this isn't nice, but he was weird, compared to me. Don't get me wrong, he was nice and all. But we are just acquaintances or
f r i e n d s. It ended up that his sister, him, and I. His names Garrett, his sister's name is Gabbie/gabby. idk. We built this HUGE sand castle that was totally frickin awesome. Complete with a moat and all that stuff. We even found clay that didn't absorb water, so we used that for the moat too. When we were done Gabbie/Gabby and I rode our bikes around the camp. I hardly even almost recked once! (twice) I painted her nails.... and Garrett's too. We went for another bike ride and when we got to the beach. Someone had completely flattened our entire sand castle. They even took the time to seperate the rocks into piles, they buried the clay, and then the filled in the moat! They even had the nerve to build a sand castle right next to it! But hey karma will get them one day!
Well, we are leaving tomorrow for indigo bluffs. Can't wait...
Night,
Ali

The 7th day of the RV trip. July 8th. Posted on July 25

Wow! I haven't updated my blog in like.... well a long time. I'm not good at counting. So we went back into Mackinaw City, my dad wanted another pocket knife. His wasn't sharp enough because he decided that he would take up whittiling for a hobby. So not embarrassing. I wanted the knew Pretty Little Liars book "Twisted." But they were sold out! Bummer. We walked around a little bit  and then came back to the camp.
I'm sorry that this post is so short, but I can't really remember what we did.

Thursday, July 7, 2011

Day 6 of the RV ("un"reasonable vehicle) I think thats spelled wrong.

Yay! I'm finally caught up to date on my RV trip (punishment) blog. So todhe ay we went to Mackinaw Island. We took the ferry, along with like 300 other people who decided too, which was actually leaving at 11 (on the hour) not 11:30 like my mom had thought. We didn't have to walk though! We got a shuttle to take us there! We got on and it took off right away. But not before blowing it's horn and scaring the crap out of Mia. Ha Ha. It was about a 10 to 15 minute ride, and was very nice. We got to the dock and got off. What did you think we would do, stay on? We imediatley went to the carriage ride tours of the island. It was really fun. We saw the Grand Hotel, (BORING) we saw most of the island, and we went to a butterfly museum. Very pretty. I got some good pictures. Then we got back on another carriage and went through the national park. Whas really funny is that even if you pick a blade of grass you were fined 50 dollars. The state flower or rarer flowers like orchids were a 500 dollar fine. The driver told us about the time when a little girl picked some flowers and it was a 1500 dollar fine. The look on her mothers face, though, priceless. We continued on and then we saw some people riding on horses. Well you could tell right away from looking at this girl that she had no clue how to ride a horse. (Blonde, Flip Flops, short shorts, blonde... not to be stereotypical) (She probably would have gotten on backwards if they hadn't helped her up, I'm pretty sure!) Well she was leaning so far back in the saddle that she was almost laying down. Then her horse trots over to the grass away from the group of 3, and starts kneeling down on his front legs, (so he's on his knees) She would of tipped forward if she wasn't leaning back so far. Then he got up, and runs her into a bush, stays there for a couple minutes, then starts eating grass. It was so funny. Finally he prances back over to the group like nothing had happened. It was hilarious. We finished the tour and I went to Star Bucks and got a Mocha Coconut Frapachino, (I think I spelled that wrong) It was really good. Then we went, boarded the ferry again, and caught the shuttle bus to go back to the RV. I ended up reading. But it got boring so I took out my guitar and played for a long time, while mom went to walk  bella and mia to the beach. My dad was outside whittling. lol. When my mom came back to walk Biscotti I went with her. But Biscotti wouldn't come so we went by ourselves, and I ended up finding a fossil. (we had already found a couple in the past days but this one had a few) When we returned I went to the little camp store for some fire starter and built the fire! Finally girl scouts has kinda payed off. We made s'mores, and I sat at the picnic table updating my blog, while fighting of misquitoes. They're annoying little buggers. I'm so funny ha ha.... Nevermind. But it's time to go to bed, well more or less I'll probably read until 12.
Night! Don't let the misquitoes bite!
Ali

Day 5 of the not so good RV trip

How many of you like walking, and I know that you are thinking what a stupid question. We have to walk everywhere! Well I meant, because we don't have a car thats tow- able with us, we have to walk everywhere. Not that I mind because we didn't leave the camp ground much. Well one of the people at camp said that they had walked to Mackinaw city because it was only a mile down the road. So we got up, got ready, turned on the air conditioning for the dogs, we prayed that the dogs wouldn't bark all day.... they did, and headed off down the road. Lets just say that I hate gym class even more. We passed about 50, no lie, hotels, motels, and inns on the way before we got to the little shops. Well, they have a ton, seriously, of fudge shops. They are like the banks and pharmacy's that are on every street corner in Pittsburgh. But we did get some fudge and it was really good. We went around a little more, we didn't buy much. But I did get two t-shirts. One that says "Professional Marshmallow roaster" on the back, and another that says "Camping Ninja" on the back too. I know a little corny, but I have to brag, I make pretty killer s'mores.
Caio, Salut, and Toodles!
Ali

Fourth Day! July 5, 2011 (just cause theres an exclamation point doesn't mean I'm happy)

Hmmm. I've never been good with  introductions. Lets leave it with that.
So its day 4 of torture. Since we are at the camp until Saturday, we didn't have to drive. So I got to sleep in until lunch. My mom and I went down to the beach, I don't have a reason why, so don't ask. It was acctually really nice and hot outside. So I wasn't that cold. The water was pretty and a really comfortable. Until you got up to your shins. Then it got cold. I started looking around the beach where the water meets the sand, and there were a ton of tiny rocks that were really colorful! I took those to add to my collection, I even found sea glass. Only two pieces, but I think that thats still really cool. While my mom and I were enjoying the peace and quiet of being on the beach alone these crazy boys came in their swim trunks and jumped in the water so it was over their heads. Okay they didn't jump, they had to squat because the water is very shallow, even far out. They didn't even seem cold! My mom even asked one of them what the water temperature was. He said 56 degrees. I have finally realized that there are people in this world that are much crazier than me. I read like 6 more books and we went for a couple more walks on the beach. Thats really all. Bye!

Third Day, 3 days late (RV)

First I want to appologize for appologize being spelled wrong and for not updating my blog for 3 days! Now that that's settled.
Day 3: Really theres nothing to say. We got to the Tee Pee camp in Mackinaw City around 3? I can't remember. It's been to long.... wow don't I sound like my mother..... Any way we really just took a walk down to the small beach on lake Huron. Whats funny is that it looks like an ocean, but is so much more calmer. Another difference is that there are stones and rocks, instead of shells! It's so wierd, but we found some pretty cool ones! Since we got there on the Fourth of July, they had a HUGE firework show. I think in like 3 different places on the lake. But the main part was sent off from the bridge. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's like 5 miles long. We went the beach with 2 chairs, Only 2! Yes, I wanted to bring a beach towel, but my mom "forgot" and I had to sit on my jacket that I brought to keep me warm. We waited and waited on the beach with other people spread out watching the measly fireworks that came every five minutes. The misquitoes were eating us alive, metaphorically speaking. They would of had to of been pretty big to do that. It was ten o'clock and the fireworks still haden't started. I heard someone say that they must of been low on money because there weren't many fireworks. We finally had had enough with the misquitoes because I was literally spazzing out  and swatting every time I saw something move. I guess I was embarrassing my parents..... again. I think I have a phobia, a serious one, of, can you guess, of bugs. It's so bad that sometimes if I see a couple bugs I'll feels them "crawling" on me. But they aren't. Any way, we gathered up our stuff and were heading back to the RV when the show started it was really amazing and really pretty, and it lasted very long. I got some pictures, but again I'm not sure, at all, how to load them onto this computer. The only unfortionate thing was that they didn't have a bonfire that night and I was really looking forward to having s'mores. So we made them over our stove. Unfortionatley I dropped mine in the dog food and it got hair all over it. I was so upset that I couldn't even make another one, and my mom kept offering to make me one. But I was in my mood and I felt like fate totally hated me... it seems like it always does. But don't feel bad  for me I had it for breakfast. Healthy!
I hope you have forgiven me for being so busy, NOT, that I wasn't able to updated my blog!

Second Day of torture. (RV)

There are no adjectives to describe today. It could be a natural disaster, but I'm pretty positive, (negative) that the stuff that happened isn't natural at all. I hope your not to traumatized by this post. Good luck!
So the camp we stayed at last night was very outdoorsy. We left at, well I'm not sure when we left. So we went to get deisel fuel at a gas station, we didn't fit so we had to go to another. Well when we get there just randomly, the sliding glass door that covers the door knobs on the main door just totally shatters. I'm starting to think this thing is haunted. I think I have really bad luck with glass, first my phone, then the door, whats next. Okay, so it's 3:28 right now, and I think we are lost. Why, You ask? Maybe it's because we just pulled off to the side of the road right next to a dam with a sign that says, "When horn sounds, water level rises suddenly." Nothing to worry about. Especially when theres a sign that says "Stay back 150 feet", and we are not even 20 feet from it. Ya, it's perfectly safe..... What makes it even more funny is that we were following the GPS. What's up with that. Map Quest and GPS's can't be trusted. Now my moms complaining about how GPS's and Map Quest sucks. LOL. "You'd think these things would work from the amount of money we spent on them!"  "These things suck!" I love you mom. Now she's talking back to it. Sometimes she amazes me really. We are also trying to figure out the time. Our phones say 3:35 but the GPS says 2 something. My dad thought we had a time change. Hello!!! We are in Michigan. It's on the same side as Pennsylvania. I know where I got my smarts from.
Another problem is that this stupid window next to me won't shut, it keeps on sliding open. Even with the lock on it. Yes, it is locked.... I think. And Someone... dad..... keeps forgetting to shut and latch the doors. So every time we go around a bend or a bump I hear. "BANG CRASH BOOM, ALI! SHUT THE DOOR!" Your welcome mommy dearest, I would love to shut the door even though I didn't even leave it open. Wow, I'm rude. I don't know where we are right now but I guess we aren't lost yet because we are driving, and my parents aren't fighting. 3:41 I wouldn't recomend going over train tracks in an RV. It feels like your on a plane with the worst turbulence ever recorded in history, throw in a mixer and turn it on to full speed, and throw in a couple tornadoes. Sounds like Fun. Seriously I think that if everything in the Rv wasn't like atttached to the floor and walls. We would of been buried alive, but we would of been dead. Wait, that doesn't make any sense. Oh well. Nothing interesting is happening now. So I'll probably put up another post later on to finish off day two.
Pray for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Road Trip....... Day 1.

........ Hmmmm..... How do I put this nicely? It was an... adventure...? Before I tell you about the actual trip let me tell you about the morning. So, we were supposed to leave at 11 or 11:30, my mom and I were ready at 8 o'clock. Dad wasn't. He still needed to download the GPS update, which didn't work at first, but with my dads "excellent" skill with technology, it took about an hour and a half to complete. But wait I'm not done yet, theres still more.... that's a surprise. The next problem is that the bike rack hitch that was for our car doesn't fit on RV's. Hmmmm I wonder why? So dad had to run out to 1 bike store, an auto part store, and target. When none of those places he went to had it. He had to call another bike store, who told him to go to U-Haul Luckily U-Haul had it. Then he had to attach the bike rack to the RV, get the pedals off of the 3 bikes, get them onto the bike rack, and secure them. This process took about, maybe an hour. Well by then my mom was almost ready to throw a full blown hissy fit. What makes it worse is that we were leaving that day,(Saturday) and we still didn't have a place to stay that night or Sunday! By then my mom was kinda fed up, well not kinda, really fed up. So she took charge and booked us 2 places to stay, one for Saturday, and one for Sunday, in like 10 minutes. If we hadn't of been able to book a place, we would of had to leave on Sunday. But all of our stuff is in the RV. We took pity on my dad so we let him get a shower, we had a quick lunch, put the dogs in the RV, and took off at 2:10. Which we consider a lucky number because it's our address, or so we thought.
I'm hunkered down as far as I could get in the seat reading my second book that day. (My parents said no more because I'll have them done in the first week) We get onto the turn pike, and who would of guessed, when we got to the turn pike tool booth, dad hits the right mirror on the side of the building. Hilarious. We then had to pull over on the side of the road, where we spent about 15 minutes trying to re-adjust it. My dad had me sit in the drivers seat to tell him if it was in the right place when he was adjusting it. I've never drove a car before, I'm only 13, so I had no idea what was going on. I have to admit I threw a little bit of a hissy fit my self.
But other than that everything was fine the rest of the trip. Just kidding. There is so much more. So after we got back on the turn pike, we followed my moms map quest directions to a T. Can you guess what happens next. Well it turns out that they were wrong. We were in the middle of NO WHERE, well somewhere in Michigan, I think, when we realized that we couldn't find the camp. Of course my mom calls for directions, (men never admit they are lost) and we find out that we are like 80 miles away from where we are supposed to be. (okay that might be a slight exaggeration, like 40) We eventually get there where we check in. My mom gets out of the car when we get to the lot, but I had to stay in there with dad while he was pulling in. A guy who was in the front office when we checked in came and helped dad back in. Well we couldn't make the swing into the lot 58 so we just took 59. Ha Ha. When we got out he asked us if we were the one from Pittsburgh. They probably had a pool going to see how many times we got lost, which is confidential information, (around15) and about how much help we needed pulling in. So embarrassing.
But in the end God gave us a beautiful sunset, that I got pictures of, to let us know that everythings going to be okay, ha He's hilarious, and that everythings planned.
Can't wait for tomorrow! NOT. Yesterday we got in really late, because of all the driving around in circles. That's why I had to post the first day on Sunday.
